For the first TRANSFER INTERNATIONAL, NRW KULTURsekretariat set up an advisory board, which recommended a collaboration between the North Rhine-West- phalia region and the neighbouringcountries of Belgium and the Netherlands.
This advisory board consisted of the three art experts Michael Struck-Schloen (WDR, Köln), Prof. Heide Hagebölling-Eisenbeis (KHM, Köln), Marijke Hoogeboom (University of Amsterdam) together with Reinhard Krämer (NRW Ministry of Culture), Dr. Joachim Bernauer (Goethe-Institute) and Dr. Christian Esch (Director of NRW KULTUR-sekretariat) as chairman.
‘Digital Culture’ and ‘Diversity’ were chosen as the main themes of this edition of TRANSFER INTERNATIONAL. It was felt that these concepts would have not just an influential but a guiding role in political, social and artistic discourse inthe years to come.
Dr. Christoph Benjamin Schulz is project manager for TRANSFER INTERNATIONAL.
The Dutch Partners of this TRANSFER INTERNATIONAL are Dutch Performing Arts, Fonds voor Cultuurparticipatie and Het Nieuw Instituut. Kunstenpunt in Brussels has been chosen as a Belgian cooperating institution.
