September 2015

Selection of the partner countries B and NL by the advisory board of the NRW KULTUR-sekretariat, which is made up of representatives of the Goethe-Institute, the NRW Ministry of Culture and others.

»Digital Culture« and »Diversity« were chosen as the main topics of TRANSFER INTERNATIONAL B-NL-NRW (2016-17).

Confirmation of the recommendation by the full assembly of the NRW KULTUR-
sekretariat with the option to take Luxembourg into consideration where possible.

December 2015

Participation of Dr. Christian Esch, director of NRW KULTURsekretariat, in the Visitors Programme of Het Nieuwe Instituut (Rotterdam) and Dutch Culture (Amsterdam), where numerous talks with key figures and institutions or festivals in the Netherlands were held.

First Call for Project funding was launched for the member cities of NRW KULTUR-sekretariat with a deadline of the 29th of February 2016. Establishing a jury to appraise the submitted project proposals.

A second Call for Projects was announced to be published in October 2016.

April 2016

Visitors Trip with guests from the Netherlands to NRW on the topic of »Digital Culture«.

May 2016

Visit by Reinhard Krämer (NRW Ministry of Culture), Dr. Christian Esch (Director of NRW KULTURsekretariat) and Dr. Christoph Benjamin Schulz, project manager of TRANSFER INTERNATIONAL, to the Netherlands for political talks regarding the collaboration with the Netherlands and Dutch partner institutions.

JUNE 2016

From the 17 proposals that were submitted for the first call, 4 projects were selected by a jury which were financed by the project funds of TRANSFER INTERNATIONAL.

july 2016

Dr. Christoph Benjamin Schulz was appointed project manager for TRANSFER INTERNATIONAL.

September 2016

A one-day meeting of experts on »Diversity«, organized by NRW KULTURsekretariat and Dutch Performing Arts, was held in Amsterdam during the festival ASSITEJ on the 2nd of September 2016.

A one-day meeting of experts on »Digital Culture«, organized by NRW KULTURsekretariat, was held in the NRW State Representation in Brussels on the 22nd of September 2016.

November 2016

The second call for project funding aiming at artists of all disciplines and cultural institutions from the member cities of NRW KULTURsekretariat who would like to collaborate with Dutch and/or Belgian artists or organizations was launched. Four projects were selected and supported financially.

From Novemer 3-5, a group of experts from Belgium and the Netherlands was invited for the visitors programm „From Arts to Videogames – Digital Culture in NRW“ in the context of Next Level Festival.

Organized by Flanders Art Institute, a group of experts from NRW and the Netherlands visited Belgium for the visitors trip „Digital Culture in Belgium: Brussels, Mons, Namur & Kortrijk“ from November 7-9.

From November 14-16, a group of Belgian and Dutch experts visited NRW, attending the visitors trip „Cultural Diversity in NRW“.

January 2016

A comprehensive brochure on TRANSFER INTERNATIONAL was published. A profile of TRANSFER INTERNATIONAL was established to facilitate the digital communication on the project as well as to encourage networking of the artists and experts involved.

MArch 2016

The third call for project funding aiming at artists of all disciplines and cultural institutions from the member cities of NRW KULTURsekretariat who would like to collaborate with Dutch and/or Belgian artists or organizations will be launched.

2017

Further calls for project funding will be announced in June and Septembre 2017. Several visitors trips are planned throughout the year
